Rebecca has worked in community health and development for almost two decades, in the not
for profit and higher education sectors. She is currently an independent consultant focused on
organizational and community development.
Rebecca worked for Syracuse University for thirteen years, most recently as the Managing
Director for the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion, a permanently endowed center at
the Maxwell School. She also served as Deputy Director for the Center for Health & Behavior,
and prior to that managed NIH and privately funded community-based research projects on
primary and secondary HIV prevention.
She has also worked for SUNY Upstate Medical University and Central New York Health Systems
Agency.
Rebecca is an active volunteer in the Syracuse community, and currently serves on the board of
directors and executive committees for both the United Way of Central New York and ACR
Health. She has also completed fellowships with the Health Foundation of Western and Central
New York and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
Rebecca earned her Master’s degree in public administration and a certificate in health services
management and policy from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She is currently
earning her Master’s in business administration from the Whitman School of Management at
Syracuse University.
